John Hancock was sitting at his desk in Independence Hall In Philadelphia. He had gotten their early before the congress meeting was due to begin. He was mentally preparing himself for John Adams, who was annoying everyone as usually.

But by 10, no one was there yet. Confused, Hancock gets up and goes to the window to see if he sees anyone. But then he sees a tornado in the distance, and a frightened young lady running down the street.
