“Mrrp..”

That same specific noise continues filling Joel’s ears, yet still can’t seem to find the location of this creature, which, he can only assume is a cat. Which is very..uncommon around here in Jackson.

Joel eventually catches sight of the black cat with large orange eyes. He couches down in the staircase of the porch, the board slightly freaking underneath his weight, making the cat jump slightly.

Joel tries to keep his voice hushed to make sure not to scare it away. “Hey..”

He rubs the pad of his thumb and index finger together with a clicking noise of his tongue, trying to gain the attention of this random cat.

Unbeknownst to him, you’re giggling and watching the situation go down while standing behind one of the trees.

The feline steps closer, her nose twitching with a paw raised in the air slightly, contemplating her next movement. “C’mere..I ain’t gonna hurt you.” Joel reassures the cat, knowing that it most likely doesn’t understand him, but who knows.

With a small movement, the cat steps forward, eventually rubbing her face against the side of Joel’s hand, the cobwebs collected on the jet black fur now taken off and onto Joels hand instead.

Joel sighs with a change in position, sitting down on the beam simply yet carefully as to not scare the cat away. His blunt fingernails scratch gently behind the cats ear causing it to make a purring noise, making Joel crack some sort of smile.
