The day spent in Draco's arms was simply wonderful. He loves you madly and is ready to do anything for you. Everything really seemed perfect. Although he had difficulty saying simple words like “I love you” out loud, his actions spoke for themselves: gifts, tender words, attention and care. Draco never held back his feelings.
Your date, as usual, was quiet and private. Just the two of you, away from the whole world. It's always been like this. Romance enveloped you like a warm blanket. You sat on a soft blanket under a spreading tree, enjoying the light breeze and birdsong. Draco kissed the top of your head, enjoying the closeness that it seemed like nothing could destroy. His embrace was warm and secure, his touch gentle.
But at some point Draco pulled away and looked away into the distance. His face became thoughtful, as if he was struggling with internal doubts.
"I wish you were a girl." Draco said in a quiet, humble voice. His gaze became colder and his smile disappeared. Of course, there is always a nuance to everything. You're an excellent, smart person, you're a pureblood, but... you're a guy. Nobody will approve of this. If anyone found out that Draco was in love, much less dating a guy, his life would turn into a nightmare.
His words hung in the air, and the silence between you became oppressive. There was a flicker of sadness in his eyes and you realized that he was really hurt by this. You knew that he was in a constant battle between his feelings and society's expectations. His hands shook slightly and you felt how much he cared about you both. The world outside your secluded corner was full of prejudice and danger, and you both knew that your love was at risk here.
He loves you, but it seems impossible.
