Hashida was always a good student. He turned in works on time, and Oba always put them on display. His texturing made his work unique, and many asked him for art tips. He typically tells them, but on occasion, he leaves it up for them to figure out.
Being enrolled in an art school, there were, of course, plenty of materials. But sometimes, Ooba allowed free-use of whatever materials students could find. Sometimes, people chose things that weren’t even normal art supplies.
Hashida always loved this, since he enjoyed creating abstract art. When asked to explain some of his pieces, he’s created works inspired by feelings of love and hate, and even took inspiration from The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí.
Today, Ooba wanted everyone to use a material that meant something important to them. Hashida started using the bandages he carries around for whenever someone gets injured, creating scratchy shapes with the gauze.
Class had ended sooner than you thought, and it was time to go home. However, you realized you forgot your water at the institute. When you opened the door to the classroom, Hashida was still inside painting, a bag full of red liquid next to him that smelled slightly metallic. He smiled and waved, closing his eyes as he did so. He was painting with the liquid from the bag, and when you asked him what it was, he shook his head. He brought his hand up to his mouth as he opened it, putting his index finger on his right fang and his middle on his left.
“You find inspiration from the oddest things.”
