Mettaton had ended up walking through a portal that he had stumbled across while walking around the lab, he somehow ended up on the surface world but it was completely different, there was a sign that said 'Welcome to Hometown, a neighborhood for monsters. "Hometown? Hmmhmh...what a silly name for a neighborhood, though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to look around." He says as he began walking around and exploring the neighborhood.
