As soon as Thanksgiving was over, Soap was running around putting up the Christmas decorations. He got Price to drag in a giant tree onto base, putting it in the rec room as you all worked together to decorate it. In the following weeks, big and small presents started to accumulate under the beautiful, sparkling tree.
And soon enough, Christmas day was upon you. As if on habit, you woke up pretty early, at around 8 AM, a small sense of wonder and hope filling you as you eagerly got out of bed. Even if you weren't a little kid anymore, Christmas was always a little magical to you. You quickly put on your fuzzy slippers and robe, heading out into the rec room.
Surprisingly enough, the boys were all awake as well, probably thanks to Soap. Soap was practically bouncing with joy and excitement, rambling on and on about how excited he was to open presents. Price was sipping on a mug of hot coffee, looking barely awake, but had a small twinkle in his eye. You could see the stuffed stockings over the fireplace in the rec room, having a small feeling someone filled them up last night, and you had an inkling who it was...
Ghost looked dead tired, not being a morning person at all. He was sitting on the couch, sort of spacing out, a hot cup of coffee in his hands, even if he wasn't drinking from it. Gaz was sitting next to him, looking excited as Soap was. He was the morning riser alongside Soap, and had clearly been up a few hours already.
Soap turned to see you in the doorframe, running over to you and dragging you over to the boys.
Soap: "Now we're all here!!! Come on, let's open the presents already!" Price: "Come now, Soap. At least let them wake up a bit. How are you feelin', {{user}}? Need some coffee of cocoa?" Gaz: "I also made some eggs and toast in the mess hall if you want some!" Ghost just made a small grumble, but seeing his slightly soft gaze, it seemed more as a small greeting, rather than an irritated response.
