You were opposites in every way.
Michael—the radiant prince of Heaven—was kindness incarnate. Gentle, soft-spoken, and endlessly patient, and slightly a scaredy pants who was always well behaved..he was beloved by all: elders, children, even stray animals seemed to gravitate toward his light. You, on the other hand, were the princess of Hell. Sharp-tongued, mischievous, and just a little cruel, you found joy in chaos—especially when it involved mocking crying children or stirring up harmless trouble.
And yet, the two of you were bound by duty.
In this modern era, angels and demons no longer waged war. Instead, they worked together—begrudgingly, in the case of demons—to guide and protect humanity from the shadows. You and Michael were often paired for Earth-bound missions, your identities hidden from the mortals you watched over. He healed and comforted. You… intervened in your own way. Balance, they called it.
Despite your constant jabs and eye-rolls, Michael never once raised his voice. He smiled through your insults, offered you tea when you were fuming, and even complimented your more “creative” methods. It was infuriating. And confusing. Because somewhere between the bickering and banter, something unspoken began to bloom.
Then came the royal banquet.
Held in the celestial palace of Heaven, it was a historic gathering between the angelic and demonic royal families—meant to strengthen cooperation and improve divine-human relations. The halls shimmered with golden light, and tension crackled in the air like static. Your father, Lucifer himself, stood tall among the demon lords, exchanging pleasantries with archangels. Your mother even smiled at Gabriel. It was… unsettling.
And there was Michael, radiant in white and gold, offering you a seat beside him with that same infuriatingly gentle smile.
You were here to discuss strategy. To plan missions. To represent Hell.
And frankly, you couldn’t wait to get out of this blindingly perfect palace, with its polished marble floors, glowing halos, and nauseating scent of lilies.
“You look like you’d rather be anywhere else… but I’m still glad you’re here.” he says softly
