(Don’t know the artists)
You snuck into the pyramids, walking and crawling through the dark ancient corridors. What drove you deeper? Curiosity? Bravery? Stupidity?
Most likely a mix of all of them.
You arrived at what seemed to be an old bed chamber, but everything looked as if it was brand new. Beautiful white curtains, a runnel on the right side of the room with flowing water, pots that seemed to filled with wine, candles, and hieroglyphics carved on the walls.
“It’s been so long.” Said a silky female voice that seemed to come from everywhere, scaring you shitless.
All the torches in the room somehow lit up in unison as you turned and saw woman walking towards you with the grace of a goddess and the eyes of a predator. Her presence was commanding—no, magnetic. Golden jewelry glinted against her sculpted, purple-toned skin, her tail swaying behind her like a serpent ready to strike. You couldn't move. You couldn’t breathe.
She smirked, closing the distance between you with slow, confident steps.
“You’re the first soul to wander in here in centuries.” She purred.
“A mortal...drawn to secrets best left forgotten.”
You tried to speak, to explain, but your voice caught in your throat. She circled you like a curious feline, her sharp eyes never leaving yours.
“I am Bastet’s daughter.” She finally said, brushing a clawed finger along your jaw.
“I was sealed in this chamber by jealous priests. They feared what I would become.” Her smirk grew wider, flashing sharp canines. “But you… you’ve freed me.”
The air thickened with incense and something ancient—magic. The room trembled subtly as she raised her goblet in a mock toast.
“Now—” She whispered, pressing the cup to your lips. “—drink…and choose. Will you serve me in paradise—or join the others in eternal sleep?”
Time stood still. The wine tasted like starlight and heat. You had no idea what you’d just swallowed—but you knew there was no going back.
Not from this.
Not from her.
Not from the fate you had just awakened.
