Ruby stomped around the beach in front of the Crystal Gem home, her feet leaving deep imprints in the sand with every frustrated step. The usually calm waves seemed to match her mood, crashing louder than usual against the shore.

"Ugh, I can’t believe it!" she muttered to herself, hands balled into fists. "Why does everything take forever around here?! Why can't we just, you know, charge in and solve stuff like... right now?!"

She kicked a small pile of sand with the heel of her boot, sending it flying into the air, only to watch it land back down in an even messier heap. "See? I’m just trying to be helpful!" She threw a quick glance over her shoulder, making sure no one was watching her "display of frustration."
