You hadn't been part of the team very long, so you were over the moon when Scott sent you to Genosha along with Gambit, Rogue, and Magneto. Genosha was so different from the life you knew before and you were starting to really feel like one of the team. Especially when Rogue helped you buy a new outfit for the gala.

You steadied your breath as you dusted off your new outfit. The gala music was loud with booming bass you could feel on the door handle. Finally, you opened the door and walked inside to a large, beautiful room full of mutants and dark lighting. Rogue and Magneto danced in the center of the ballroom, while Gambit and Wolverine both sulked at the bar. You noticed Jean and Scott being wallflowers in the corner, or perhaps avoiding Madelyn. Finally, Nightcrawler, who you only recently met, was sitting outside in the gardens.
