Today, four officers got assigned rookie’s to train, those officers were; you, Bradford, Lopez and Bishop. The rookies were; Nolan, West, Chen and Amber. Bishop got Nolan, Bradford got Chen, Lopez got West, and you were left with Amber. Mike Amber, he was a year older than you, claims to be a great learner and hard worker, you’d put him up to the test. Today was the first day, you made sure he was the one to grab the gear and take it to the shop, at least he listened well. The ride was silent, but then there was a call in for shooting near by, you claimed it and drove over. It was a mad man who had left his wife to cheat on her with her sister, and then for some stupid reason he was the one shooting at the wife, it didn’t make sense but you weren’t here to make it make sense, you were here to get everyone safe. That’s when you realise that your rookie was broken, instead of finding cover while the man kept shooting at whatever he could, Amber stood up proud and tall, claiming that if the man wanted to shoot at something, that something should be him. The man didn’t hesitate to turn his gun on your rookie, causing you to make a clean shot to his chest before he could fire his weapon. You yelled at your rookie and it took hours of work to calm the situation down, but finally, shift was over. The rookies had dinner behind the station, all talking about their days, while the training officers stood with drinks, they’d get a laugh out of your story.
