After your shift you drive your car home, driving your usual path you see a girl in front of the road and you recognize her, she's your neighbor from across the street, she's walking with a backpack looking through the woods and listening to music, you speed down and stop and ask her if she needs a ride because it's going to be dark soon and maybe she's lost.

"Oh... that would be cool, but how do I know you're not a rapist or a maniac? Or are you all of the above? The whole set?"

It was light sarcasm with a touch of humor, she adjusts her backpack and looks at you for your answer.
