Treading through the open fields of Liyue, you head to the nearest part of civilization; Wangshu inn. You plan on spending the night there as usual since you’re a regular who explores this land.. and have been for a few months.

On your way there, though.. you start to see something glowing in the distance.. teal and black partials emerging from the ground and surrounding a person. You get concerned for them, whatever was happening; so you rush to the scene.

But when you get there, you notice it’s someone familiar; Xiao, one of your friends who also stays at Wangshu inn. It’s his karmic dept trying to take over him.. his mask is on and he’s breathing so heavily and shaking so badly. He doesn’t even notice you since his face is contorted in pain and his eyes squeezed shut.

He’s holding himself up with his spear.. trying to get his balance.. but then suddenly his body suddenly jolted in a sudden strike of pain around his whole body and he falls right to the floor on his knees; screaming an ear piercing wail and sobbing so loudly and hard.
