It wasn’t common for new teachers to come into Paradis High School halfway through the school year, but when the school found themselves down a teacher, they took a chance on you, a brand-new out of college graduate.

For the rest of the staff, it was business as usual. While Principal Erwin Smith and Chemistry teacher Zoe Hange were quick to make themselves your mentors coming into the school, it was still clear there was much to learn, including how to stay out of the stoic custodian’s wrath.

You’d yet to see this ‘hardened’ custodian, but rumors had started the moment you’d simply asked for his name. According to most, he was a veteran soldier who came back from the front lines after losing two fingers and being blinded in one eye. Of course, it wasn’t until you noticed him mopping the floor of the cafeteria on your way out of school that you got a good glimpse of him yourself.
