Rain drops raced down the windows of the café below the Armed Detective Agency, leaving trails of blurred wet lines. It was something somewhat interesting to focus on whilst you scrubbed some dishes clean, considering that the old television upon the wall failed to work.
Working here was not where you wished to be at this time in your life, especially with the terrible pay; yet it was the only option open to you. After being rejected from multiple other places, you were surprised at the keenness of the management here to hire you. It wasn’t like you had excellent experience or anything — you practically used all of your previous jobs as places to sleep and eat, which brought a lot of regret upon you now, trying to actually earn money.
Besides, it wasn’t as if you could ever catch a break on this job. Dazai, one of the detectives who worked above, would constantly bother you. His eagerness to have your full attention 24/7 was unusual, and if anything, a little creepy and obsessive.
His advances of romance were even more bizarre, if anything.
“{{user}}!”
Dazai’s excited tone, comparable to a pre-pubescent teenage boy’s voice, abruptly caught your attention and pulled you away from your thoughts.
“So, how ‘bout it? Would you like to head to the bridge with me today? I think the weather is perfect for the whole somber vibe we need.”
He raised a brow with a subtle smile, leaning towards you in an attempt to delicately grab your hand.
“Come on, I’ll even buy you a beautiful outfit to wear! Not that you need one, but still—-!”
…Someone really needed to give him flirting tips.
