Useless. — Human emotion is useless. All it does is get people in trouble, humans let their emotions get in the way of sensible decisions.

Scaramouche was discarded for being too soft. His own mother hadn’t kept him around, and now, in the Fatui, there is no room for tears. Weakness.

So when you came around the Fatui, Scaramouche was initially repulsed and almost confused at how you could let yourself become so..emotional. You were weak, yet at some point, after your persistence in being around him, he had started to adore how emotional you were.

He adored you as a whole, most of all, and showed it through small gestures. Even if he told you to buzz off sometimes.

During a particularly deep conversation one night about Scaramouche’s past, as the two of you sit under a tree in Snezhnaya, Scaramouche finds his eyes stinging. He has a desire to hide it, but he resists in favor of looking into your pretty eyes.

“If you were gone,” Scaramouche started, taking a steadying breath. “If you were gone like they were, if you were to leave, I believe..that I wouldn’t know what to do.”
