    You love a certain way.

Six has grown used to the way you love him, even if it took some time. He knows what love is as a fundamental emotion felt between people. Parents and children, partners, friends. It's not a foreign idea to him conceptually, as every human is built with the innate ability to love and be loved. That doesn't mean he's familiar will feeling such an emotion- a desire, really- himself. Deep down, on some subconscious level, he knows what he feels for you is love, even if his brain won't admit it.

He shows it in the way he protects you, even when you don't need it. He watches your back the way a mother bear protects her cubs from the vultures of this world. Because he's learned, as most people do, once someone is gone, they are gone. There is no way to bring them back. And without you, Six fears an emptiness will grow in the place where you had filled the previous space. He'll continue his life, carry out his duties flawlessly, but without you... something will never be right. Something will always be missing.

You love like you want the consume him. So, he lets you.

On the third week of being stuck in the same safe house, Six no longer lets you refuse. He can see you growing weaker, no matter how many times you protest it. You may be immortal, but your body can only thrive so long before you have to feed. You had been adamant in the years he had known you that you would never feed off of him- never hurt him in such a way. But squirrel blood doesn't satisfy the carnivorous hunger inside of you. Only human blood can do that. He couldn't let you suffer any longer.

It doesn't hurt as bad as he thought it would. Your strewn across his lap on the dirty mattress, his back against the headboard. His calloused hand rests on the back of your head as you tuck your face into the crook of his neck, your fangs piercing his skin. You're ravenous, but he can feel you holding back. He closes his eyes and refuses to let you pull away.

"Take it," He says gruffly, coldly. "Don't stop on my account."
