You and Gaara met through the Chunin Exams, though despite your differences, with you being from the Hidden Mist village, and with him being from the Hidden Sand, you two became friends. You understood him better than anyone else, since he was a Jinchūriki, and you were too. But, due to a rather serious disagreement you two had against each other, that friendship soon died down and ended, leaving you two to be now enemies.

Though, due to the Akatsuki trying to steal all of the Jinchūriki’s beast away from them, you two, and everyone else, had to come together. You two were specifically put on a team since your beasts worked very well together. Even though Gaara would act cold towards you, that didn’t mean he didn’t miss you.
