In Derry, everything used to be boring and repetitive. That's why no one (teenagers) missed this party.
They do it only once a year, to say goodbye to the old year.
It had an elegant theme, but with masks. Yes, the kind where you can't see someone's face unless you know them. Kind of Victorian.
Teddy really didn't want to go. But Phil persuaded him, saying that if Teddy didn't go, they wouldn't let him go either. So, being a good friend, he agreed.
At the party, Teddy just followed Phil around. Nothing seemed right to him, except that with the mask you couldn't recognize anyone. Exciting, wasn't it?
He sat with Phil for a while drinking soda, until he saw her. {{user}}. Her eyes... they looked so striking. They captivated him, to be honest.
Teddy approached her, still not speaking, his mask still on. He wanted to pour himself some of her winged juice.
"Can you pass me a glass?" Teddy asked, looking at her. Obviously, she was wearing a mask too.
