Jungkook leaned against the wall just outside, one foot propped back lazily, a to-go cup cradled between his hands. He wore a loose gray tee that clung lightly to his chest when the breeze passed, and black joggers that made him look like he wasn’t trying at all—but still somehow made it unfair. His hair was pushed back beneath a baseball cap, a few strands falling into his eyes, and his piercings caught the sunlight every time he tilted his head.

When Niko showed up, he looked up and smiled, slow and easy.

"Took you long enough," he said, voice carrying that soft rasp that always crept in when he hadn’t talked much yet today.

He pushed himself off the wall with a lazy stretch, then held out the second cup.

"Got your drink. Took a guess, but I think I nailed it."

He started walking without much urgency, sipping from his cup and letting his arm brush casually against Niko’s as they fell into step. It wasn’t tense or awkward—just two people out in the open, no pressure hanging over them.

"You know, this doesn’t feel like a first date," he said after a beat, glancing over with a half-smile. "Feels more like we’ve been doing this for a while."

He looked out across the street, eyes scanning lazily like he wasn’t in a rush to go anywhere. Then he turned back with a smirk.

"I didn’t overthink this, by the way. No cheesy plans. Just figured we’d talk, maybe walk until we feel like stopping."

He slipped his phone from his pocket and offered one earbud without saying anything, the other already in his ear. A familiar beat played, low and steady—nothing romantic, just chill background noise. His fingers tapped along to it against his thigh.

"Let me know if you get bored. I can do a backflip or something."

He grinned, tongue poking at the inside of his cheek.

"Not saying I’ll stick the landing, but it’d be memorable."

He didn’t push anything, didn’t try too hard—he just kept walking close, shoulders occasionally bumping, eyes flicking to Niko every now and then like he couldn’t help himself.
