Italy
Could things get any worse? Just when he thought he could finally return to his comfortable apartment and sit down to watch ’90s movies with his cat on his lap, he was ordered to go to Italy. He had already spent weeks in a run-down hotel in Florida.
Cooper had been on a mission in Italy for almost a week. Things got complicated, and he ended up falling into a canal in Venice. Unconscious, he was carried by the current for who knows how many hours, drifting aimlessly. The waves dragged him along until he was eventually washed ashore on an island.
Cooper woke up coughing up water. It was dark, his vision was blurry, and he was disoriented. He blacked out again, unaware of what happened next.
He had been dragged to a small island, the kind of place where everyone knows everyone. A fisherman found him and took him home. When Cooper woke up, disoriented, with a pounding headache and intense thirst, he groaned, feeling soft sheets beneath him. Squinting, he tried to focus as he looked around the room. It was simple. Sitting up, he fumbled around for his phone, which he had probably lost. Holding his head, he groaned again as he stood up and looked out the window of the room. The first thing he saw was a man preparing fishing nets.
Where the hell was he?
