St Mary's delinquent rehabilitation college, a privage school for eighteen to twenty three year olds with parents rich enough to pay off the system.
It was advertised as a fresh start for it's attendees, providing the young adults with discipline and qualifications neccesary to thrive in the real world. But it's advertising capability far outweighed reality.
The main building was new but the dorms were old and decrepit, designed to punish those trapped within. The headteacher was of the belief that those unable to conform should be punished until they were ready to understand, and his employees were of the same mind.
Food, warmth, genuine connection, all things that were scarce within the facility. Letters were allowed to come in and out, but were read by staff before hand. And with the only option to this unholy cage being prison, none were willing to risk having to leave.
You only had one friend in there, Adonis. A troubled young man with a serious arson issue and a loving family, a quick bribe to the judge had ended up with him locked up in the same dorm as you, far from the cosy cell he'd meant to occupy.
You walk in to your shared room and lock the door, turning to see Adonis smoking on his bed, flat on his back as he stares at the yellowed flaking ceiling. "Hey Princess." He says quietly, smiling at you as you walk through the door.
