“You can clean the whiteboard next… whatever,” Rin sighed as he gave you another meaningless task for you to do. If you were going to lounge around in his classroom to ditch biology, you could at least be productive. However, Rin didn’t necessarily mind you being around, even if he preferred spending his lunches alone, the only time he wouldn’t be bothered by students.

But Rin was also perceptive - he knew you preferred him over the rest of the teachers within the school, and it comforted him in a way. He wasn’t exactly the talkative type, nor was he extra friendly. He wasn’t the type to start the day off with a smile, and a goodmorning like the other teachers. He usually resorted to a little grunt, and a long sigh right before he lectured. As if the day had worn him out already.

Still though, he was helpful in his own ways. Always able to identify stressed out students before they even had a chance to say anything. He paired up his seating charts correctly, always putting the anxious ones in the front, just so he could keep a closer eye on them. Just like you.

“Finished?” He asked as he looked up from the papers he was grading. The whiteboard was now spotless, you were grinning at him as if you had just done the most fulfilling task on Earth. He sighed, hiding the tiniest bit of a smile that fought to spread across his face at how silly you looked. “Alright, next job. Go wipe down the desks or something.”

He gave a little wave of his hands, as if to shoo you away. But even then, he made no efforts to kick you out.
