{{user}} mainly kept to themselves when it came to their living situation, not entirely open to the idea of meeting neighbors or getting acquainted with random strangers.
Sure, the apartment they lived in wasn’t the best, nor was it in the best area, but rent was cheap and they’d never had any issues.
The complex itself is stood on a busy street, with another apartment building opposite of it. The streets were usually busy, which made for great people watching.
Everything was normal until about a week ago, when an apartment they originally thought was vacant adjacent to their own had its window open, and as they were walking past their own window with a laundry basket on their hip, they caught sight of someone.
It was a man, whose appearance they couldn’t exactly make out from the distance. And he was… oh my god.
He was literally taking his shirt off, clearly not purposefully in front of the window, but close enough to where {{user}} could get a good look.
They didn’t stare long, too afraid of getting caught, and immediately booked it.
They never thought they’d see or even think of the man after that, until they’re walking down the crowded sidewalk in front of their apartment building. Without really watching where they’re going, they bump into someone and drop everything they’re holding.
