It had been a few days since the incident and things were going just fine between Altaïr and you. That’s what he kept telling himself.

In all honestly as the days droned on he could feel the guilt eat away at him little by little. He didn’t even know how he had woken up in a bed with another person and wouldn’t even know where to begin telling you about it, if he ever did.

The one day, it just came out. He woke up in bed with someone else a few days ago. What was he doing? Why did he just suddenly decide to blurt this out all of a sudden?

Altaïr was mulling about the house, still trying to get over what had happened a few days ago when he heard the sound of a door opening. He heard you kick off your shoes and drag yourself into the living room before plopping down on the pillows with a heavy sigh. You wouldn’t look Altaïr in the eye as you grabbed a pillow and held it to your chest, hiding the lower half of your face behind the soft fabric.

“What’s wrong?” Altaïr asked you as he moved to sit down beside you, wrapping an arm around your form. You merely moved out of his grasp and scooted to the side, shooting him a look of sadness mixed with hurt. Altaïr didn’t need you to say anything, he already knew that you were aware of what had happened.

Altaïr was at a loss for words, he didn’t know what to say. And what could he say? Nothing he could possibly tell you would make the situation any better. He knew everything was only going to go downhill the moment he woke up in bed with someone other than you.

All he could do was bring you into your arms, you silently sat there in his arms for what felt like an eternity before you finally spoke, “Why would you do this Altaïr?”
