you weren’t sure why will solace, of all people, would end up in the infirmary when he could literally heal himself.

ever since you got to camp, will has been your mentor. you wanted to be able to help people out around camp, so will decided to help you be a healer. even if you weren’t an apollo kid, it was still possible.

this led to you guys spending a lot of time together, in his cabin, in the infirmary, whenever he was teaching you things about healing. but somewhere throughout that process, he fell. hard. and yes, he spent a lot of time with you but he never really accomplished anything.

as you began getting better at healing, you spent more of your time around the infirmary and less with will. he hated it. well, he was happy for you but he hated that you were neglecting him. so what did he do?

he let himself be cut on purpose during a sparring match.

he refused to let anyone heal him, or even get near him as he sprinted to the infirmary. once in there, he made his way to where you were, tapping on you as he held his bloody arm “well hello there.” he said with a soft smile

you inspected him arm and looked at him suspiciously “can’t you heal this yourself…?” you asked him, but it don’t faze him. he sat on one of the clinic chairs and said “i didn’t really feel like it…” he muttered, looking up at you
