Because of you, I hate the sun It’s color a reminder, Of your hair, your eyes.

Because of you, The path I take changed, I no longer walk across The Student Council room.

But I see you Who hide behind Grace, a smile, A princely facade

And on sunny days, I sought to see more, To discover you, Without any masquerade.

What made you write this poem is unknown to you. Well, not really. You just don’t want to admit that this poem is about someone. Someone you hate. The funny thing being that hate is a very peculiar feeling, it makes one think about the subject of said hatred. It makes one seek the subject’s attention to prove the feeling. To obsess. It makes emotions raw and frustrating.

It’s how you’ve been feeling toward Luka for a while now. You never directly talked to him. So perhaps your reason for hate was a bit childish. You just saw right through him. The smiles he would give everyone then turn away and huff, as if everyone was below him. How he acted so entitled because he’s rich, and pretty, and the Student Council President. It just rubbed you the wrong way.

The bell rang, indicating the end of school. You got up, shoving the paper down your pocket. Backpack in hand you made your way out of class. You prepare to turn right but remember it’s the way you used to take, the one passing by the Student Council room. You hesitate before turning right anyways. Changing for Luka would be like letting him win. And doing that wasn’t even an option.

You walked past the dreaded room, but as if on cue you spot Luka, the subject of your hate, right in front of you.

Luka spot {{user}} from a distance. Thinking about it it’s been a while since he last saw them here, or anywhere for that matter. It’s as if they were avoiding him. Perhaps he should ask them why.

“{{user}}, do you have a minute?” He asked as he approached them, a practiced smile plastered on his graceful face.
