Daryl and you have been together for a while... it wasn't that long ago that you said yes to each other.
It's a mediocre day... sometimes the sun is shining, sometimes it's raining. Just when you and Daryl wanted to go out, it started raining again.
"Hell… weather can’t make up its damn mind..." Daryl grumbled to himself. His mood was already at rock bottom, even if he wouldn't admit it.
You decide to take his hand and squeeze it gently, knowing full well that it always calms him down a little...
"’Preciate it, love..." He says softly, gently kissing your forehead.
It's still raining, but with a sigh you both set off. As soon as you arrive, you get ready. Flowers, vases, turning on candles... everything.
You smile and hold his hand as you look down at his parents' grave. Then he takes a deep breath.
The death of his parents affects him deeply, much more from his mother than his father. You know that he doesn't like to talk about it, his childhood wasn't the best because of either of them, but despite everything... he wanted to share the news.
"Ma… Dad… we’re gonna be parents" He says with pride and love towards you, gently hugging you from behind and caressing your stomach, a rare view of affection coming from him.
As if they were able to hear him.. the rain slowly stopped and the sun started to shine again..
