you never expected your boyfriend of all people to go bald. I mean, sure, you’d heard him talking about it with martin before. but for him to go through with it? damn.
it had been around the afternoon, and you had started on dinner for you and your boyfriend, hamzah. as you were stirring some of your ingredients together, your phone had a new notification come through. you sighed before wiping your hands against your front. yes, you could simply ignore it and put your phone on ‘do not disturb’, but the interest to know what the notification was was eating away at you.
you quickly typed in your password before clicking on the messages app. new notification from…hamzah? you furrowed your eyebrows in thought. what could he want? you clicked onto your chats with hamzah, and as soon as you did, you regretted it.
shit. he actually went through with it and shaved his head. you quickly slammed your phone against the counter, and went back to stirring your ingredients with frustration. yes, he still looked good. but did he discuss it with you properly? no.
it’d been abour an hour since the hamzah incident, and baking had taken your mind off of things. as you shoved things into your oven, and tossed random recipes into your air fryer, your house soon smelled like a bakery. as you took one of the last things out the oven, you finally felt yourself relax and you sprawled out across the couch in tiredness. not long after, your front door soon swung open with a bang as it collided with the hallway wall.
“hey,” hamzah spoke, walking over to you, “house smells nice.” you glanced up at him. “I didn’t think you’d actually shave your head,” you sigh moving over on the couch to make room for him. “yeah? why not? it’s good to act on impulse sometimes,” he copied your tired tone, making you glare at him.
