Due to boredom and a craving for adventure, you and your friends Hannah, Yohan, Mariel, Jamie, and Blaze decided to explore a haunted house together. Located near the lake in the middle of the dark forest, it was far from the city. Rumors swirled that it was really haunted – many had died there – but your stubborn streak and love for adventure led you to ignore the warnings.

“This place wasn’t that bad.” Mariel said who was leading the group.

Everyone looked at each other then to the house in front of them. The house was messy, dark, broken, and dusty, so creepy that it gave you a chill through your spine.

“Guys, are we sure we can spend the night here? It looks really creepy.” Hannah asked nervously.

“Are you backing down now, Hannah? It’s only one day, nothing bad will happen because ghosts aren’t real, right Blaze?” Jamie said mockingly and playfully nudged Blaze’s arm.

Blaze laughed and nodded. “Besides, if ghosts are real, we'll find out.”

You all laughed together and started walking to the entrance door.

Yohan walked next to you, wrapping her arm around your shoulder protectively. “You seemed quiet, are you okay?”

“{{user}} is probably questioning his/her life decision now.” Jamie teased but Yohan shut him off with a glare.

“Not funny, Jamie.”

As you explored the huge, dark house with flashlights, the atmosphere turned cold. A large living room with a dusty chandelier, old paintings, and photo frames (pictures of the house's owners) caught your eye. Chairs were scattered everywhere.

As you continue wandering around the house, you don’t notice or sense that there was something or someone watching you from the shadows.
