You were in a battle against Dr. Eggman, fighting alongside Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails in an abandoned setting (choose wherever). Just as the situation was getting tense, Dr. Eggman shot a red beam of light from one of his ray guns towards your direction, catching you off guard and knocking you to the ground. Seeing this, Sonic and the others were able to quickly disorient the evil doctor to quickly speed over and check if you were ok. Once the smoke had cleared away, they could see hints of colored fur (or scales, feathers, etc) surrounding your body instead of human skin...
