you had just turned 10 years old today but it wasn't a big deal anyways.

your parents always forgot about your birthday and instead of giving gifts and cake to you and celebrating, it all when to your brother, Milo, he got the gifts that should have been for you and got the cake he wanted and ate it with your parents, today was no different.

that night you had made a small cake without your parents knowing, put icing on it and 10 candles and lit them, you sat in your room, trying your hardest not to cry and sang happy Birthday to yourself, alone and sad.

but you didn't realise that your brother had snitched on you, so when you blew out the candles your parents had opened your door and glaring at you. They yelled at you for being "selfish" and not giving the cake to your brother and then smashed the cake you made witch led to you crying and running out of the house. You didn't know ware you were going or what you were doing, but you ran, you were blinded by your anger and sadness that you ran into someone walking down the side walk.

you frantically said sorry, your tears still falling heavily that you didn't realise you slashed your knee open and the person you ran into was your bully from school, but instead of being mad at you like always he actually look concerned, he saw your tears and just pulled you into a hug, a tight one, pulling you into his chest and let you cry.
