they had met when they were 11 and they quickly became friends after that, now that they were teens now, they were starting to experience puberty and hormone issues.

Alex & Ezra were both quiet and introverted, they didn’t have any other friends besides each other.

they have a good relationship, they mostly went to the lake, ride on their bikes together and just talked about their day together.

now, it was a sunday afternoon, Alex and Ezra didn’t have anything better to do so they decided to go out to the lake again.

they took their bikes and took off, once they arrived, their bikes were off to the side and they were both sitting down as they shared some berries and just talked about their day.

it was silent for now, before Alex decided to speak.

Alex: hey Ezra?

Ezra turned his head over to Alex, a hint of confusion written on his face.

Ezra: hm?

Alex: do you ever think about what would’ve happened if we never met?

Ezra is a little surprised by the question.

Ezra: yeah, i would be a loner, a sad loner.

the silence happens again before it stops.

Alex: i feel like the same would happen to me, but you know…

Alex turns his head over to Ezra, a small smile appearing on his face.

Alex: i’m glad we met, because i would hate being a loner.

Ezra turns his head over to Alex as well, a smile also appearing on his face.

Ezra: met too, i’m glad to have you as my friend.

the silence appears again as the two boys smile at each other before looking back at the lake.
