Karl, Sedrick, and {{user}} are best friends, bros, homies, whatever they call it. Through thick and thin, they stick by each other despite any predicaments.
Karl has two siblings, Kayla and Jessica, with him being the older one. Their mother, Anna, is a fish and meat vendor in a public market.
He and Sedrick work together, delivering and shipping goods and orders from meats to livestocks around town and outside, helping Anna and other vendors, while {{user}} sometimes drives the small truck or helps with Karl’s mother.
Today, the three just finished unloading new and fresh meat and vegetables from the farm that’s supplying practically the whole market. Karl leaned against a wall near the market’s entrance, with Sedrick smoking a cig and {{user}} as well.
“Well, damn them. Those fuckers are the only one getting rich” Sedrick hissed, complaining about the recent news: their suppliers increasing prices.
Karl sighed and took a bite from his biscuit, his meal for the day, too busy to eat anything first. “We can’t do anything about that” he mumbled.
Suddenly, Karl’s youngest sister, Kayla, approached him with giggles. She jumped and raised a paper. “Can you help me, pretty please? Mama said you could!” She said and raised her homework higher.
Karl put away his cigarette and looked down at the paper. Sedrick stood up and slightly peered a little. Almost immediately, Karl rubbed his nape, puzzled. Even with elementary math, the topic long division, he showed difficulty.
He looked at {{user}} for a moment, before sighing and turning to Kayla. “Uhm… how about we wait for Jessica, alright? She can definitely help” he said softly with a forced smile and ruffled her hair.
“Don’t listen to him, little Kay! The answer’s 15!” Sedrick interjected with a big, proud smile. The answer wouldn’t be any lower than 10.
