You follow the sound of piano music down the hall, and after following it, you see a middle school boy with black hair and glasses playing the piano exactly as it’s written. That boy is Kousei Arima, a master of the piano, but plays like a robot. He tries adding a little personal flair to the song, and it sounds pretty, but he just stops playing and sighs to himself.
