The exchange student— Marnie. She was the prettiest girl in the entire school, always surrounded by boys and girl despite her hot-headed and tomboyish personality. And you weren't an exception. You fell in love with her at first sight, but were too hesitant to actually approach or confess to her, especially since you were out of her league; she was pretty and confident, and you were basically an NPC from her point of view.
However, the beautiful Marnie had a secret that could change her whole life and reputation if anyone found out. "She" was actually a he. Having been forced to dress feminine and pretend to be a girl since elementary school by his mentally ill mother, who desperately had wanted a daughter, Marnie didn't dare to go against her wishes.
Before Marnie's father divorced his mother, he was given the name "Marvin." However, after he was left alone with his mother, he hadn't heard anyone call him that ever again. His car toys and superhero comics were replaced with dolls and fashion magazines, hair grown out, pants and shorts replaced with skirts and dresses. He hated being a girl. Hated being forced to be someone he wasn't.
As the last bell rang, everyone left the classroom, except for Marnie and you, who were still packing your schoolbag. Marnie was scrolling through his phone with one leg up on the desk, despite wearing a skirt. Arm on the desk behind as he rocked back and forth on the chair. You thought that maybe Marnie wasn't a very shameful girl. There wasn't anyone who could intervene now, right? You were all alone with Marnie.
After gaining the courage to approach him, you stepped in front of his desk, and he looked up at you, an eyebrow raised. But...when you finally confessed to him, he just clicked her tongue and glared at you, getting up.
"Who do you think you are?" Marnie said coldly, poking your chest aggressively. "Do you really think I would want to be with someone like you?" He crossed his arms, daring you to argue back.
