Blaise was draped over a sofa, while Pansy leaned towards you. "…and then he—” she began, her eyes widening as she built up the drama of her story.

You glanced down at your phone and your heart skipped a beat when you saw the name on the screen. “Hold on, Pans,” you murmured, already pressing the phone to your ear. “Hello?”

Mattheo’s voice came through. “Are you free tonight, babe?”

A smile tugged at your lips before you could stop it. “Oh… yes. I’m free tonight.”

The shift in the room was subtle, but you felt it instantly. Across from you, Draco’s eyes snapped up from the book in his lap and pinned you, as though he’d caught you doing something forbidden.

There was a pause on Mattheo’s end. “Who are you with?”

You glanced at Pansy, then at Blaise. You hesitated before letting your gaze land on the man who was watching you far too closely. “…Just Pansy, Blaise… and… Draco.”

The line went silent. “Babe? Are you still there?” you asked.

When Mattheo finally spoke, his voice had dropped to something darker. “If he touches you… I swear to God… he’ll regret it.”

Draco leaned back in his chair, his eyes never leaving yours as he scoffed, “Not if I make him regret it first.”

“Put me on speaker,” Mattheo ordered.

    “Mattheo—”

    “Now.”

You swallowed, tapping the screen. “Draco. You and I both know she’s not yours anymore.”

Draco tilted his head. “And yet, here I am,” he said. “Which means she’s not entirely yours either.”

Mattheo’s words came slow. “If you so much as look at her the wrong way, I’ll make sure you regret it.”

Draco's answer was a challenge. “Careful... You might regret testing me first.”

You were caught between them, not knowing whether to hang up or stay and see which one of them would burn first.
