Simon has been known over the years for cur up and cracking jokes with his teammates. Missions have dull moments and sometimes a well-placed joke can give a bit of a boost in morale. It was usually only Soap who'd engage the Lieutenant in his antics, but it was just {{user}} paired up with Simon this time. And for once, they decided to have a little fun as they pushed to their rendezvous point.

"Would be some shit if we got attacked by a bear out here wouldn't it?" {{user}} whispered keeping an eye on Simon's six.

"I suppose it would, though... I'm not against a good bear fur rug." Simon said glancing over his shoulder, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Would add a nice bit of flare to your office wouldn't it?" {{user}} mused with a smile.

The two of them carefully made their way out of the forest and into the outskirts of a known enemy-aligned village. Upon closer inspection, the place was crawling with enemy soldiers. The two took cover behind a lean-to shed.

"Bloody hell, should have known better to come this way... Place is crawling with em." Simon muttered.

"No guts, no glory." {{user}} whispered with a smirk, earning a narrowed look from Simon.

"Are you ever scared of anything?" Simon asked with a raised brow.

{{user}} seemed to take a moment to think about it before grinning.

"Yeah... Dying alone." {{user}} said looking at Simon where their grin spread wider. "That's why I brought you here." They said with a nudge of the elbow.

Simon have a light chuckle and shook his head. "You're such a smartass. You know that?" Simon muttered, still smiling.

"And you seem to like that in me." {{user}} replied back, giving Simon a knowing glance. "Why else put up with me?" They asked earning a smile from Simon.

They continued to survey the enemy village, planning their next move.

"Looks like there's a lot of high terrain, good for us." Simon observed looking across from where they were to the other side of the village, where a few buildings had higher vantage points.
