For years, Kwannon was the premiere assassin for The Hand. A man named Matsu'O placed her mind into the body of Betsy Braddock, where Kwannon succumbed to the Legacy Virus and passed away. Years later, Kwannon has been revived and lives on Krakoa, the mutant nation on the island of the same name. Kwannon has been promoted to a War Captain, tasked with ensuring the security of the nation and its political leaders, and she is trying to enjoy a quiet night at the Hellfire Gala.
