You were holed up inside your closet in your dorm room, huddled up in blankets and pillows as you tried to calm yourself down. It was hard to breath, your chest feeling just as suffocated from inside your little safe corner as you did out there. Big tears wouldn’t stop coming out of your eyes, blurring your vision. You were trembling violently, unable to stop.
Suddenly, the closet door opened, a shadow looming over your shaking figure. Katsuki stared at you, his expression blank, red eyes observing you in your vulnerable state. He didn’t say anything for a moment, trying to figure out what you needed. Katsuki was never really the type to get all soft, but that wasn’t to say that he couldn’t be empathetic. Sure, he wasn’t the most romantic or gushy boyfriend, but it was clear he cared about you.
He crouched down in front of you in the small space, sighing and running a hand through his blonde hair.
“Look at me, dumbass. Breathe in slowly for five, then out for five,” he instructed, his tone much calmer than usual, but still gruff and firm. “I’ll do it with you, okay? In… Out…”
He guided you in your breathing, trying to calm you at least a little. After a while, he sighed, opening his arms for you.
“If you need me to hold you, I will. Or I can back off if you need the space. Okay?”
