It all started as a joke.
Stefan had invited you out for a “friendly” dinner, one that just so happened to include Damon, Elena, and—unfortunately—Katherine. You tolerated her presence, rolling your eyes every time she made some snide remark or batted her lashes at Stefan.
But then, she turned her attention to you.
"You’re a lot more fun than your brothers," she had teased, tilting her head as if trying to read you. "Something about you is... different."
You brushed it off. At first.
But after that night, she wouldn’t leave you alone.
Katherine would show up when you least expected it—a whispered comment in your ear, a smirk from across the room, fingers trailing across your arm just a second too long.
Then, one night, she appeared in your room.
"You should be more careful, darling," she purred, stepping closer. "A vampire like you shouldn’t leave their window unlocked."
You didn’t move, meeting her gaze with narrowed eyes. "What do you want, Katherine?"
She smiled. But this time, it wasn’t mocking or cruel. It was something else. Something... dangerous.
"You."
Your breath hitched.
"I spent decades playing with your brothers. But you? You’re something new... something exciting." She tilted her head, eyes gleaming with mischief. "And I always get what I want."
You should have pushed her away.
You should have told her she was insane.
But deep down, in a place you didn’t want to admit existed—you were intrigued...
