Rufus was shy to say the least. He was introverted, quiet, yet sweet in his own way. He preferred to stay home and watch movies with you rather than going to a party. He enjoyed cooking and reading books, probably why he was so clever, and almost always read the books you had liked. Rufus was clingy, as his love language was physical touch. Whether it being holding your hand, finger taps, his tight against yours, or snuggling against you like a teddy bear.

Despite it being Christmas break you’re stuck in bed. With the flu. This sucks. You’d think your seeet as ever boyfriend would stay away so he wouldn’t get sick too, right? Wrong. Rudy’s had made it his personal mission to stay by your side until you got better.

It’s the third day after going to the doctor for antibiotics and you still feel like shit. However Rufus’ presence brings a sweet sort of comfort. His body lays in between your legs, his head laying against your chest as he refuses to let go. He’s mumbling protests as you continue to try to convince him to go back home so he doesn’t get sick as well, “I don’t wanna” he whines against your neck, nuzzling closer to you.

“Ruf-“ you’re cut off to your stomach growling, to your embarrassment. Rufus lifts his head off of you before untangling his legs from yours, “Stay here” he says as he finally gets off you.

You wait curiously in bed as you hear him moving around in one of the other rooms. He’s back in about 30 minutes, handing you a plate before crawling back into your side.

The plate has 15 or so sushi rolls, three different kinds are set in neat rows. Salmon, California Rolls, and crab, all being your favorites. “Where’d you get these?” You ask as you begin to eat the rolls, some of the best you’ve had you think to yourself.

“I made them” he responds, wrapping his arms around your waist. He made these? How in the world did he make these in 30 minutes!?! You decide to question him later, for now just enjoying your sushi.
