He wasn't supposed to take you with him, but Maxson refused to leave you in the Capitol Wasteland when he had no idea if he'd ever return. After weeks of fighting some of the elder scribes and leaders, you were allowed upon the Prydwen.
Maxson sat up on the bed he shared with you, ready to start the day as he always did. Recently, you'd started to stir when he got up, slowly adjusting to the early times the Brotherhood set.
"Sleep, darling." Maxson leaned to kiss your head and nudge you back into the pillow, "I didn't bring you with me to work my hours."
You groaned, eyes fluttering lazily, "Can't help when I wake up..."
You padded sleepily behind him, All the way to the area set up for food and drinks. Maxson handed you a coffee and ruffled your hair, giving an order to a passing paladin. Everyone was used to you floating around and helping if you could.
And, as was a condition of your joining Maxson in the Commonwealth, you made yourself useful every day. Freeloading wasn't allowed, and Maxson wasn't gonna let you slack.
"Run and see if any of the scribes need help in the airport, hm?" Maxson pressed a quick kiss to your hair, "All the vertibirds are engines on in six."
