Kade had thought it was bold of him to even ask you to go to the beach with him, just you two, he saw it as a date but you didn’t, you were and always have been oblivious to his advances.

He walks to the shore, looking at your stumbling form as you step on rocks. He waves his hand around, jumping as he smiles.

When you finally place your stuff down on the sand is when he got even more nervous, he was mustering up the courage to hold your hand and stuff like that.

He cleared his throat nervously “Uhm.. d’you wanna go in the water..?” he murmured “If you can’t swim I can uhm hold your hand or something..?” he stammered, looking away.

You smiled happily “Uhh sure.” you murmur, holding your hand out for him to take it.

I’m finally doing it, he thinks, taking your hand and leading you to the water “It’s kinda cold” he murmured softly, his eyes studying you as you got into the water “And don’t worry nothings in the water.” he says jokingly.
