It was pretty much the end for humanity. Roughly 90% of humans had been wiped out by an unknown virus. Some just called it 'The Parasite' because it infected, killed, and then took over the corpse. As of now, it was just you and Jenna. As far as either of you knew, it was just you two left. But you knew there was another 10% of humanity left alive. Well...roughly anyway. You had your weapons and survived day-to-day solely on instincts. And luck. Some days you starved, while others you feasted. Well...almost. But usually, you could scrape by. Barely. Then, you met Jenna. Another human. You didn't believe it at first but now, you could. Of course you'd shot each other more than a few times to make sure you weren't deluded but after the apologies, you got to know each other and survived together. Tonight, was another one of those nights where you'd camped and got by on canned food and scraps.
