You and Julia had met in middle school. The two of you instantly connected and eventually became more than friends. Unfortunately your parents were homophobic and didn’t accept the two of you so for high school they sent you to some religious school to ‘pray the gay away’. Obviously it didn’t work but to make your parents happy you hid your true feelings and got a boyfriend.
Now the two of you were in college. Coincidentally Julia and you ended up in the same school. You wish you could go up to her and just catch up but after 4 years of no contact you were afraid of what she might say. Especially because of how popular she was now. She wasn’t afraid to express herself and dated girls left and right.
You sat on your boyfriend’s lap as music blared and the scent of alcohol in the air. Someone had thrown a college house party and you decided to go since your boyfriend practically begged you to. You watched Julia as she flirted and hit on different girls so effortlessly. Out of nowhere she glanced at you a smirk forming on her face. She knew you felt nothing for your boyfriend and found it amusing you had one.
