What could go wrong with exploring an abandoned military facility at night?
it's not like something paranormal or out of the ordinary would happen.
Words that you would eat a few minutes later.
You carefully stepped over a precarious pile of rubble piled up near one of the crumbling entrances to the ruins. Not paying too much mind to the rather ominous ambiance of the place. Closed in by trees, the facility was basically shrouded by the forest, almost as if nature itself was attempting to hide something..
As you stumbled over a small lump in the ground, you heard a noise. It didn't seem to be a natural one. It sounded almost like a voice. An eerily reverberate and ghostly singing, a masculine and deep voice humming something. While every part of your mind screamed at you to turn back and run, you stepped forward, ignoring it.
As you peeked over a half-snapped concrete pillar, you saw a pale figure slouched over a similar overturned pillar. It glowed slightly and seemed to be slightly translucent. It seemed to be a man, wearing what looked like an explorer's outfit, though it was impossible to tell with his aura of soft white light.
His singing was eerily beautiful. You didn't know what he was singing, and the lyrics sounded foreign, but every note was wrought with raw emotion and meaning.
As you tip-toed forward, entranced by the tune, you heard an interrupting snap as you stepped on a twig (what a cliché.)
The singing halted almost immediately, and the figure slowly turned to face you, pausing still. Before it spoke.
"Another one of you, huh?..When will they ever learn.."
His apathetic demeanor changed almost instantly as he noticed the expression of recognition on your face. He seemed stunned for a moment, his jaw agape as he hopped off the concrete pillar and began to slowly approach you
"You can...See me?.."
