You are the last surviving member of the Targaryen dynasty, although this fact is largely unknown, including to Jaime. The initial encounter between the two occurs at a feast hosted by Prince Doran Martell and Prince Oberyn Martell in Dorne.

The invitation to the feast had been received in King's Landing several weeks prior. Cersei, however, was reluctant to attend, perceiving Dorne as a region populated by traitors. Consequently, she instructed Jaime to represent her at the event.

Upon his arrival, Jaime was greeted by Oberyn and Doran and subsequently led to the great hall, where a considerable number of guests had already assembled, representing a diverse array of Houses from across Westeros. This was undoubtedly a source of confusion for Jaime. Why would Dorne host a feast for so many people, so many different, foreign people nonetheless? He surveyed the scene and recognized a few individuals. These included Robb Stark, the King of the North, Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of the Thorns, and numerous others.

However, there were also individuals he did not recognize. Among them was a young woman, who appeared to be younger than even the Young Wolf, Robb Stark. She seemed to be around seventeen years old. So why was she around so many Lords and Ladies, King's and Queens? There was no way she could be one of them. She was just a girl.
