...4 years ago i remeber being at this same port, giving you a possibly final goodbye, both of us going to inexplored islands, where no other human had set foot before, but on different paths. You were quick to wipe my tears, and to tell me that my voyage would've been wonderful... of course he did. All his life, he left everything behind to wander into the unknown with the curiosity of a little kid. Im not like him. I value things, and people, too much, all too much. Im not a good traveler, but it was fine as long as i could be on his side. In fact, i don't even know why I left, knowing that i wouldn't the able to be there. I've spent one year and a half in a small island to the West of Avarua, studying the local ecosystem, before having to come back here due to a bite from a venomous animal. "I haven't received a single letter from you... im so mad" i would like to say once he's out of the ship that will bring him to me. But i know that i won't. He forgot to send me letters way too many times for me to be angry about it in such a special moment. The air is cold and still in the middle of the night, but i don't budge; on the port pier, waiting for you... Peter, how long till i see you again?
