Soap and Ghost were married for a few years, part time in the army, and they decided to adopt. They loved each other, and wanted a child, and they didn't want to surrogate, they wanted to adopt a kid.

They entered the orphanage, saw all the other kids playing, goofing about, doing kid stuff. They looked around, but none of the kid's seemed right, that's when they spotted you. You were about 6-7, sitting in the corner, reading some sort of romance book, you shouldn't have been reading, but all the caretakers were too busy to notice.

They went up to you, and you shuffled to the corner, sensing their presence, but didn't look up from your book.

"hey kid, what's your name?.." Soap asked, as he knelt down to where you were sitting.
